It is imperative to consider that natural stone is produced by Mother Nature and, as such, each material has its own unique set of characteristics that need to be respected and taken into account when selecting the appropriate contractor.
To ensure your tiles or cladding are installed correctly, we strongly recommend that you chose a contractor who has some previous experience with natural stone.
Differences in colour, thickness and surface texture are some of the common challenges that an experienced contractor would understand.
Natural stone tiles and cladding are typically laid with a cement-based adhesive such as Tylon® CM11 or equivalent and grouted with your choice of over 10 Tylon® grout colours.

Profile Brick and Tile always advises that, once your natural stone has been correctly installed, it should be cleaned and sealed. Cleaning and sealing natural stone is a two-part process, which involves a thorough mechanical and chemical clean – in order to remove any remaining grout residue and general dust and dirt.
Once the stone is clean and completely dry, specific sealers are applied – depending on which type of material has been used, i.e. sandstone, slate, marble etc. The sealing process will not only offer long-lasting protection but also enhance the many different colours and textures so typical of natural stone.
